The Isle of Wight Festival is back from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June and today is proud to reveal that the almighty Kasabian will take the top spot on Sunday’s line up. Joining the already world class list of headliners, Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters with Pulp co-headlining, British rockers Kasabian are certain to end the festival in true Isle of Wight style. Don’t miss out, tickets go on sale tomorrow.
In 2010 the chart topping 4-piece from Leicestershire won numerous awards including a BRIT, two NME's, Q Award and Mojo Award. They were nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for the multi platinum selling 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', and continue to produce the sound of a band at full strength. Sure to pull out all the stops, Kasabian are the perfect band to end the Festival.
John Giddings, the Festival promoter, says, "We wanted the kings of rock 'n' roll every night for our tenth birthday and the choices were obvious. Kasabian have reignited UK rock music and taken the mantle, long may they reign. It will be a riotous crowd-pleasing end to the weekend and I think that Jimi Hendrix would approve of our choices!"
