Camping Information

Campers arriving at the Festival

The Campsite will open on Thursday 21st June at 12 noon and stay open until 12 noon on Monday 25th June. If you arrive at the Campsite by car you'll be directed to the free Festival car parks. Once parked up please make your way through the gates and into the camping areas. Sleeping in or near your vehicle is prohibited. Please do not attempt to do so!

As with any festival campsite space is limited so please be considerate when deciding which tent to bring with you. Bringing over-sized tents leads to unnecessary overcrowding so please only bring a tent that is suitable for the number of people sleeping in it. If stewards deem your tent is be too large you will be asked to remove the tent.

There are showers in the main Campsite areas and in the family camping area, both are free of charge.

RESPECT Camping – SOLD OUT

For the first time this year the Festival is introducing a camping field called RESPECT. All you have to do to sign up for it is promise to have RESPECT for other Festival goers and the environment by keeping  your camping pitch clean and tidy throughout the weekend, being friendly and caring towards your fellow RESPECTERS and to take EVERYTHING home when leaving, including your tents and camping equipment.

Family Camping – SOLD OUT

This year you have to book a space in the family camping field in advance. All spaces are now filled. For those who have booked to camp with the other families in this field then please note you can only bring tents to camp in, no campervans or other types of vehicles will be admitted.

From the campsite into Strawberry Fields and the Main Arena

There are paths from the campsite through Strawberry Fields, and into the main arena. This means there is no need to walk along the road. For you own safety please stick to the path, it will be well sign posted and lit up at night.

Campsite Cooking

Cooking in the Campsite will be permitted on camping gas stoves and disposable BBQs ONLY in designated areas. These must be used sensibly and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Cooking on gas where installed in a campervan parked within the official campervan area is also permitted. Cooking by all other means including open fires, BBQs (other than disposable) and any other kind of gas appliance is strictly prohibited and all such items will be confiscated. Cooking in tents is banned.

Campervans

There will be a separate area for campervans- please note NO CARAVANS! An additional tent or awning is fine as long as it all fits into a 7m x 7m plot. Please be aware that hook ups (water/electricity) will not be provided. Campervan tickets must have been purchased in advance and everyone staying in the campervan must also have a weekend camping ticket. If you don't have a campervan ticket, please don't turn up on spec as we will not be able to accommodate you.

Did You Forget Something?

PLEASE take everything home with you at the end of the weekend. Contrary to popular belief charity organisations won't take tents and camping equipment to overseas trouble spots and so we are left with hundreds of tents, which we have no option but to send to landfill. Please make a real difference to our clean up operation and pack it up. Join our LOVE YOUR TENT campaign http://www.facebook.com/LoveYourTent.

Please also remember no fires, no glass items, no candles, no banners, no pets and no knives. Any items which, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, are considered to be a risk to the safety of the audience and/or affect the enjoyment of the audience and/or the running of the Festival are prohibited. If you attempt to bring such items into the Festival they will be confiscated and not returned! Food, drink & alcohol are permitted inside the Campsite but please do not bring these items into Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and the Main Arena. Only water or other non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles with unbroken seals (up to 500ml per person) are permitted in the Main Arena, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. (Exceptions are made for diabetics etc where small quantities of food for personal consumption are permitted).

YOU HAVE TO BE 18 YEARS OLD TO DRINK & PURCHASE ALCOHOL, PLEASE BRING PROOF OF AGE - YOU MAY BE ASKED FOR THIS AT THE BAR.
