Gweido

Appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2008 and now 2009

Playing the Big Top on Thursday!

Gweido  are  an alternative, indie rock band  all the way from the  sunny  Isle of Wight .  Gweido create a large buzz both locally and around the country  when they perform and following the successful launch of their Debut album, This is it! they are very excited about playing the Big Top at the Isle of Wight Festival.    Tipped as one of the hottest acts  for 2009 they have put in all the hard ground-work of a true Rock and Roll band, trying to break through playing legendary venues such as Hipshaker, The Joiner’s, Wedgewood Rooms and The Clapham Grand  and being one of the support bands for Feeder at last years Festival. With bright new material all written by Kev Hendy & Ez Pike Gweido are a band not to be missed - you need to say 'I first saw them at the Isle of Wight Fesitval'.  Kev, lead singer has a haunting, soulful voice that can move you with Beautiful White and then a powerhouse rock tune comes along like She Starts and Stops and you wonder how that happens!  Gweido now take their music to the next level with great catchy songs and powerful melodies, and whenever these boys play heads turn and the venue becomes alive. Convinced of putting their mark on the British music scene, with the music industry sitting up and taking note - this definitely is it!
